M12 SMT circuit board connector – Ruggedized
The design of the Ruggedized-series fulfils both the requirements for high functional reliability and optimum routing on the PCB. The conductor tracks can be routed vertically and horizontally through and out of the connector on all sides. With an installation height of just 16 mm, this connector offers a space-saving solution and the new tamper-proof M12 housing supports both push-pull and screw locking.
The ruggedized connectors are versatile and can be used in industrial automation, industrial Ethernet networks and railway applications thanks to the available standard codings (A, B, D, X).
Their special contact design with elastic connection contour and larger SMT connections, in combination with the mounting brackets and their four large connection pads, ensure high resistance to transverse and shear forces. As a result, they offer maximum functional reliability and prevent the connections from tearing off under heavy loads.

M12 SMT circuit board connector 90° – Ruggedized
With an installation area of just 15.5 mm x 5.5 mm and a height of 14 mm, the 90° versions of PROVERTHA set new standards in miniaturisation and offer maximum functional reliability thanks to the special contact geometry. The tamper-proof M12 housing supports push-pull and screw locking, enables a sealed arrangement of the interfaces and is therefore ideally suited for use in Ethernet switches, for example.
These angled connectors, which can be processed automatically in the SMT process, offer maximum flexibility thanks to selectable coding positions. Manufactured from high-performance thermoplastic, they offer high current carrying capacity and tracking resistance.
M12 SMT circuit board connector – Slimline
The SMT slimline circular connectors from PROVERTHA in M12 format with spring-loaded contact connection are ideal for critical mechanical PCB interfaces. The connectors offer a compact design and are compatible with circular connectors from other leading manufacturers. They are available in unshielded and shielded versions and offer a 30% higher resistance to tear-off of the connections under mechanical stress compared to conventional M12 SMT connectors.
With a height of just 17 mm or 18 mm, they are particularly suitable for applications with limited installation space. The M12 installation housing enables a sealed arrangement of the interfaces and supports push-pull and screw locking. The slimline connectors are optimised for the automated SMT process and are available in A, B and D codings.
