The new CHARX connect professional family from Phoenix Contact revolutionizes high power charging (HPC) with sustained 375 kW without the need for cooling. The CCS charging cables feature an increased conductor cross-section of 4 x 50 mm² and enable the safe operation of HPC charging stations at temperatures of up to 40 °C with 375 A. Even for short periods, significantly higher charging currents are possible in boost mode, resulting in particularly short charging times and making the charging of electric vehicles at e-charging stations suitable for everyday use.
The uncooled charging cables not only offer impressive performance, but also intelligent functions and maximum safety. They are prepared for four-wire measurement technology to enable charging processes to be accounted for securely and in compliance with calibration regulations. By measuring the power dissipation in the charging cable, the transmitted energy can be accurately recorded.
The safety of the CCS charging plug is further improved by an innovative two-chamber sealing system. The spatial separation of the two power contacts DC+ and DC- reliably prevents short circuits from occurring.
