Since the end of 2020, Phonix Contact has significantly expanded its e-mobility portfolio. The aim of this expansion is to be able to offer the customer everything from a single source. Under the "CHARX" brand, one can find all components from the charging socket to the controller to the charging cable. This is nicely illustrated by the different areas "CHARX power", "CHARX control", "CHARX protect", "CHARX manage" and "CHARX connect".
Under "CHARX connect" there are both DC and AC charging cables. The AC charging cables, among others, are available in the standardized types "Type 1", "Type 2" and "GB/T". The cable length can vary between 1.5 and 15m depending on customer requirements. Since March 2021, there is also the "UL certified" variant for the North American market.
The DC charging cables - HPC provide a fast charge of 100 km in only 3-5 minutes charging time. This is made possible by a charging power of 500,000 watts and an environmentally friendly water-glycol mixture.
The "CHARX control modular" offers the possibility of individual control in the application, regardless of whether it is a single wallbox, a charging station or an entire charging park.
In July 2021, Phoenix also launched a new "Type 2" socket for charging with LED display and temperature measurement. This socket offers significantly more safety and easier installation. The LED light can be customized (illuminated or flashing).
Furthermore, the "STEP POWER" series has been extended to meet the e-mobility standard.
