In-house engineering by Börsig
Due to the discontinuation of a standard component that the customer had in use, the specialists at Börsig were approached to find a solution at short notice that would meet the technical requirements of the application in a municipal vehicle.
In order not to disrupt the customer's assembly processes, a plug-and-play solution was required. For this purpose, Börsig had metal support plates laser-cut and powder-coated for the project. The pushbutton switches selected by the customer and laser-engraved according to his requirements were also to be sealed at the back. In a two-stage process and with the aid of a project-specific plastic sleeve, our employees cast the C&K products in a capillary-proof manner prior to installation.
The technically upgraded pushbutton switches were then installed and fitted for the customer with the appropriate SUPERSEAL 1.5 connectors from TE Connectivity.
As usual, a 100% inspection including logging was carried out by the experienced colleagues of our production at the Neckarsulm site to ensure the supply of our customer with 1A goods.

C&K - Pushbutton switch series ATPS22
The ATPS22 series pushbutton switches offer outstanding performance against vandalism and are corrosion resistant. The pushbutton switches are also dust-water resistant with IP67 protection. With 1,000,000 switching cycles and their rugged design, they are the ideal choice for this project in terms of durability and robustness as well.
TE Connectivity - SUPERSEAL 1.5 series connectors
The series is also characterized by a high degree of sealing (IP 67), which is achieved via seals in the mating area, as well as via single wire seals on the back. Developed for the demanding environments in vehicle construction and for easy assembly, the 3-pole connector found its optimal field of application here.
